Introducing beekeeping as a source of additional income for 500 farming households in the Kisoro district of Uganda.  KHP provides training, help with beekeeping equipment and assistance in selling honey at fair trade prices.
They market the honey after it is refined and bottled.
KHP offers beekeeping training and aims to establish a new market (both in Uganda and on international markets) for quality honey and bee products.

KHP buys honey from the farmer members for cash and pack it to sell into retail markets allowing them access to new honey markets for the first time.  Profits will allow KHP to become self financing enabling them to provide low cost beekeeping equipment and training for members and their families in both bee keeping and related products , and vocational training for their offspring .
Training is provided to increase honey production, make equipment available that has been locally constructed.
Kisoro Honey Producers allows small farmers to access markets from a position of strength and  provide a 'voice' to KHP members.
